Catholic Teachers Scholarship

Lake Catholic’s Catholic Teacher’s Scholarship is awarded to students who are the children of full-time teachers in a Catholic school.  The students receive a $1,500 scholarship each year with a maximum of one scholarship per student, per year.  Families must send documentation of this full-time employment to the Business Office each year.

Bishops' Scholarship for Excellence

The Catholic Education Endowment Trust (CEET) was established in 1976 by the Cleveland Catholic Diocese to promote Catholic education, provide support for religious education programs, and to offer tuition-aid scholarships to families with financial need who desired a Catholic education for their children. As part of this initiative, CEET sponsors a scholarship program to encourage the pursuit of excellence in Catholic education. The Bishops’ Scholarship for Excellence, now in its 18th year, awards eight $3,000 scholarships to current 10th and 11th grade students for their 11th and 12th years, respectively.  Families must have demonstrated financial need.

The application process for the 2017-2018 school year is now open. Please note that the deadline for submitting the completed application to Mr. Robert Kumazec has been pushed back to Monday, March 6, 2017.  Also note that this application requires that you have completed an application for tuition assistance for the 2017-2018 school year.  At Lake Catholic High School, this application is submitted through FACTS Grand and Aid.  If you have not yet submitted an application to FACTS, please do so now by visiting:  https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3WY22

The John L. Patton Memorial Scholarship

The John L. Patton Memorial Scholarship was established in 2008 by James G. Cardillo and is held by the Catholic Community Foundation. This scholarship is awarded to a student who is the child or grandchild of a veteran or person currently serving in the military who exhibit financial need. Current 10th and 11th grade students are eligible to apply for this scholarship for either their Junior or Senior year.  The scholarship is a one-time award without renewal.

The application process for the 2017-2018 school year is now open. Chalta-Sprungle Memorial Scholarship for Ninth Grade

The Cleveland High School And Academy Lay Teachers Association (CHALTA) believes in Catholic education and the values that it inspires. CHALTA desires that as many people as possible within the Diocese of Cleveland participate in that education and its benefits. Therefore, CHALTA is offering two $500 scholarships to incoming ninth graders at each of the diocesan-owned Catholic high schools. The scholarship is a one-year award without renewal.

Applications for the 2017-18 school year will be available at the time of freshmen registration, beginning late-February 2017.

Additional Grants & Discounts

The Legacy (Alumni) Grant is offered to students who are the children or grandchildren of Lake Catholic alumni.  This grant is $300 for the members of the Class of 2021 and $250 for all other students.  Maximum one grant per student, per year.

The Multi-Student Grant is awarded annually to students from families with more than one student enrolled at Lake Catholic simultaneously.

2nd Student: $1,000 grant
3rd Student: $3,000 grant
4th Student: full tuition grant

Prepayment Discounts are offered to families who pay their student’s annual tuition in full by June 30th ($200) or by semester by June 30th and December 31st ($50 per semester).
